Self Introduction

Dear Hiring Manager, I am writing to apply for an English teaching job because of my degree in English and keen interest in helping others learn the language. Prior to the Covid outbreak, I worked as a phone sales representative for Yelp.com where I assisted local businesses with promoting their listings and increasing their community engagement on the platform.Throughout my time at Yelp, I was able to grow my communication skills through client interactions which will translate well to any teaching position. Throughout college, I worked as a resident assistant where I held multiple programs at a local retirement home called St. Columbans on the Lake. My programs included: baking and decorating cookies on Valentine’s Day and sharing them with residents of St. Columbans, and assisting the residents with planting flowers in the Springtime. This involved good leadership and organization skills for success which I believe are important skills to have for teachers.
