John Lee wins chief executive election

John Lee Ka-Chiu Won Won Won The election of the Executive Director of the special administrative region of Hong Kong on Sunday, becoming the executive director of Sixth Time designated after obtaining 1,416 votes from the members of the Electoral Committee. Sunday morning at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center in Wan Chai.

Lee, 64, is expected to assume the position on July 1 after his appointment for the central government and will fulfill a period of five years. / P

Lee announced his offer for the city. The main work on April 9, and finally obtains 786 Elect nominations members of the ion committee.

He has actively exchanged opinions with several sectors since he joined the race. In addition to holding numerous meetings with industry leaders, he also invited members of the general public to leave online comments, and contacted communities to listen to the demands of base residents.

The former main secretary has been in public service for about 45 years. He was appointed Secretary of Security in 2017 and promoted to the main secretary in June 2021.
