English teachers in China, or as they're more notoriously known, LBH - "Losers Back Home" - don't exactly have a sparkling reputation among fellow expats. But why is that? Why do these dedicated individuals, who've made the bold move to teach English in a foreign land, get such a bad rap? Are they really a bunch of misfits who can't hack it back in their home countries?
