John Woo and Chow Yun Fat combined for action film ever crazy.

Let's start our list with a bang with hard. Directed by John Woo, this action film looks detective nonsense Chow Yun Fat "Tequila" Yuen join forces with secret cop Tony Leung Alan to take revenge on the arms smugglers who killed the couple of tequila. And with a number of . dead 307, which is a revenge

shooting teahouse, the long shot in the hospital, Chow Yun Fat wielding a shotgun in one hand and holding a baby in the other - there are many reasons why this is such an iconic action movie.

John Woo and Chow Yun Fat collaborated several times in the eighties and nineties, with those films, along with hard, breathing new life into the action genre China and inspiring imitators countless. films rare today once they are so ridiculous or this fun.

If you like this, you should also try a Better Tomorrow (1986) and the Killer (1989) infernal Affairs (2002)

One of the greats of the black genre of all time, more t burns adapted by Scorsese infiltrates.

In a nutshell, one of the largest in the black genre of all time. Set in Hong Kong, Infernal Affairs has a simple concept that plays out in an exciting and impressive manner. Tony Leung found himself typecast, looking back as a police officer. This time he is concealed in the Triads, while Andy Lau plays the reverse, a member of the triad that has infiltrated the police. What follows is a sick game of nerves in the cat and mouse with each mole trying to discover the identity of the other.

Infernal Affairs was remade by Martin Scorsese The Departed in 2006 with a stellar cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson. The fact that Scorsese would go on to win his only Oscar for Best Director for remake shows how good of a story is Infernal Affairs.

If you like this, you should also try Infernal Affairs II (2003) and Infernal III Matters (2003) Farewell (2019)

A family drama touching and funny starring Akwafina .

A true story based on the experiences of writer / director Lulu Wang, Farewell Akwafina stars (also known as Nora Lum) as Billi, a US-Chinese woman who travels back to hometown his father in China. entire extended family of Billi has apparently gathered to celebrate the wedding of his cousin, but in fact, are really there to say goodbye to his grandmother. "Nainai" Billi has terminal cancer, but the family has chosen to hide from it, with the excuse of the wedding to see her one last time. Billi must decide between respect for the wishes of the family or Nainai telling the truth.

Tonally, Farewell feels a lot like Lost in Translation. But while the Japanese culture is addressed only on a superficial level in the second, the first is a thoughtful and well-crafted study of Chinese society as it is at the crossroads of old and new.

If in this way, is also a nation must treat child (2019) Chungking Express (1994)

relationship drama Kar-Wai Wong still resonates today.

One of the greatest shames is that Chinese film Wong Kar-Wai never enjoyed the kind of success in the West as it did back home. Only it has never made a movie English language, irregular My Blueberry Nights, underperformance of the film that apparently deter Wong from having to do anything. His Chinese films are worth seeking out, however, fewer filmmakers anywhere in the world have as a way to examine human relationships.

I could have chosen any of the films of Wong, but I opted for Chungking Express. After two policemen in Hong Kong, film scratches on the surface to reveal the unusual lives that seemingly normal people live. A policeman, played by Takeshi Kaneshiro, buy canned pineapple every day to help overcome his lost love and the same time longing for a mysterious woman with a blond wig that he does not realize is a drug dealer. The second policeman, played (again) by Tony Leung, also is recovering from a breakup, when a waitress comes over his keys left in your apartment and decides to fix his life.

As is often the way with the films of Wong Kar-Wai, will love or hate Chungking Express. But trust me, it's a chance worth taking it.

If you like this, you should also try 2046 (2004), in the Mood for Love (2000) and Days of Being Wild (1990) Kung-Fu Hustle (2004)

Stephen Chow combines action and comedy for this masterpiece of buffoonery.

Stephen Chow first attracted attention with Shaolin Soccer, a real crazy and really brilliant mash-up football and martial arts. Although not as unique as that movie, Kung-Fu Hustle is a much better full story see Chow truly master their craft.

As with Shaolin Soccer, Chow writes, directs and stars here. When Sing Chow and his friend less-than-intelligent Bone (played by Feng Xiaogang) attempt to deceive the inhabitants of Pig Sty Alley making them believe that they are members of the dreaded band Ax, real gangsters come to restore his reputation. What the band does not realize, however, is that the three legendary kung fu masters retirees live in Pig Sty Alley ...

A wild mix of martial arts and crazy cartoon effects, Empire magazine summed up Kung-Fu Hustle best when they described as a "spaghetti western and the dragon through Tom and Jerry. It's like watching a blockbuster beamed from another planet. "

If you like this, you should also try to Shaolin Soccer (2001) Nezha (2019)

animation art and folklore old combine to offer more Chinese animation ever.

While American audiences are treated with Pixar films and Japanese theaters are rotten spoiled with the genius that is Studio Ghibli, China unfortunately is not home to a movie house that produces classic animated on a regular basis.

That's why the release of Nezha in 2019 was a big problem. The film became strong criticism and went on to make a massive USD 723 million in the Chinese box office. For once, the Chinese cinemas had a successful animated film that was not the United States or Japan.

The film has an iconic character from Chinese folklore, Nezha, and loosely adapts the classic novel Investiture of the Gods. The main character is a magical child born of "the demon realm." Nezha determined to save their bad fate, his parents are with him and say it comes from "the spirit pearl". Nezha can not escape the truth forever, however, and eventually to decide which path to take.

If you like this, you should also look Bigfish and Begonia (2016) and The Tibetan Dog (2011) House of Flying Daggers (2004)

Poetry in motion from the master of martial arts films.

director Zhang Yimou was announced at international film audiences in 2002 with the hero. Starring Jet Li, the film took place on an epic scale and introduced the beauty of wuxia (martial arts / adventure film) many of them for the first time. Hero became the first Chinese film to top the US box office and remains the best-known Zhang offer in the West. Despite this, my personal favorite is the House of Flying Daggers.

released after two years of Hero, House of Flying Daggers is a much more personal story. During the Tang Dynasty, two offers police, played by Andy Lau and Kaneshiro Takesi, are ordered to investigate House of Flying Daggers, a group who rob from the rich and give to the poor. Their search leads Ziyi Zhang Mei, a blind dancer who fall both officers.

While the scale is smaller, the film is even more beautiful than hero. Many scenes last long in the memory :. The game of echo, the confrontation in the snow, green bamboo forest that will always be associated with this beautiful movie

If you like this, you should also try Shadow (2018), Hero (2002) and crouching tiger, Hidden dragon (2000)
