1. Canton Tower
The Canton Tower, also named as Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower, is a must-visit tourist destination in Guangzhou. Because the shape of the tower is quite similar to the slim waist of a lady the locals call it “the Slim Waist” as well. The night view up there is amazing and really worth seeing. It also has the world’s highest Ferris Wheel on the rooftop, which allows the visitors to have the panoramic view of Guangzhou. The price of the wheel is 130 yuan per person and the wheel opens from 17:00 to 22:00.

2. White Cloud Mountain (Baiyun mountain)
If you enjoy hiking, White Cloud Mountain may be of interest. It is said that the name originates from the scenario in which the peak of the mountain will be surrounded by clouds when the sky becomes clear after raining or at the end of spring. The mountain range consists of 30 peaks and among which, Mo Xing Ling is major and highest peak of 382 meters altitude. With impressive peaks and interleaving valleys, the mountain is one of the hottest attractions in Guangzhou.

3. Pearl River Cruise
The evening cruise on the Pearl River is one of the unissable highlights in Guangzhou. The scenery along the Pearl River at night is enchanting with jade-like flowing water and colorful lights on both shores. The boat passes through White Goose pool, Shamian Island buildings, Aiqun Hotel, Dashatou Port, Haizhu Stone, Xinghai Concert Hall and so on. 4. Shamian Island
Shamian Island was once the leased territory of Britain and France in 19th Century made up by colonial buildings with European style and features. The White Swan Hotel, a well-known five-star hotel in Guangzhou, sits on the island and has been a well-received location for eating traditional Cantonese dim sum. Here, tourists can have a coffee in the exquisite coffee shops or choose to have a long western style dinner in a beautifully decorated restaurant, enjoying the sense of relaxation. It is a place suitable to move away from the noise of downtown and calm down to embrace the atmosphere of tranquility.

5. Yuexiu Park
Yuexiu Park is the biggest comprehensive park in Guangzhou, and is named after Yuexiu Mountain which wins the good reputation as one of the new Eight Attractions of Guangzhou. The mountain comprises of seven hills: the summit Yuejing, Guihua, Muke, and Liyu and so on. Zhenhai Tower, given the name of “the number one attraction in south of the Five Ridges”, is the most magnificent and most well preserved historic building in Guangzhou with ethnical features. Also, the Statue of the Five Goats is worth seeing because it is seen as the symbol of Guangzhou and is a key historical relic under state protection. Being in the park, you will be amazed by the huge variety of trees, flowers, birds, insects and antiques.
