Working in Shenzhen

Teaching English in Shenzhen as a full time ESL teacher in kindergartens, middle/high schools and primary schools usually requires teaching 3-5 hours per day, except training centers schools do not have classes at night and weekends are off. If you work as a part time teacher, 8-10 hours per week is plenty to earn a good wage. Many experienced teachers will choose their jobs in a kindergarten as a full time teacher and part time in a training center at night (Salaries easily exceed 30,000RMB per month or 3,000GBP). Even some teachers who live in Luohu district (There is a bridge between Shenzhen Luohu and Hong Kong), they will choose a Hong Kong school to teach part time. The cost of living in Shenzhen is lower than Hong Kong; however, you can earn higher salary in Hong Kong. You can earn more money and save more. 

Working in Shenzhen, a BA degree and higher qualification is required; a native speaker is preferred; non-native speakers with excellent English and good accent are often accepted; a TEFL/TESOL is preferred; having working experience is preferred but not necessary. Generally speaking, employer requirements are based on how much they pay you; how many hours you teach per day; how big the company is; what kinds of company you work in. If you would like to work in an excellent school, requirements are usually higher, vice versa.
